Once we have different exposure files of the same image we can get them into Photomatix to mix them. Photomatix is able to mix this files and get amazing images thanks to tone mapping and many other parameters available to change. Photomatix is a post-production software that blends images of the same scene taken under multiple exposures. The result is an HDR (High Dynamic Range) image that you can display on monitors or printers while preserving the details of the original scene in highlights and shadows.
Photomatix combines any number of bracketed shots automatically. The computed image is created as a new document, making it easy to compare the result with the original images or with the result obtained using another computation method. Additionally, you can use the Photomatix comparison feature that displays the histograms of two images on the same panel.
Photomatix Pro offers six different methods to blend exposures, all of them based on a different algorithm.

Photomatix is basically an application for merging and correct photographs.
Publishers offers this program to merge differently exposed photographs of the same theme, for correcting the unique highlights or flat shadows of each of them. The resulting image has all the unitary details but all the differences in lighting and shadows are combined, wich means that they are corrected when blended.
